Hirsch Vineyards
APPAREL AND PRODUCT DESIGN
Our work with Hirsch Vineyard, a 40-year-old, award-winning winemaker on the Sonoma coast, started in 2020. Jasmine Hirsch, the daughter of founder David Hirsch, was looking to update some of the brand’s promotional swag while paying respect to its heritage. Using original wine label illustrations and maps of the area as source material, we created a series of Thank You cards, t-shirts, and totes that are bold but refined, much like the estate’s signature Pinot Noirs.
In the past few years, we helped Hirsch design and produce custom knit beanies, assist in the production of the Block 5 wine label, designed graphics for the release of their first rosé, and have helped redesign and refine their Tasting Room paper experience.

2021 Harvest T-Shirts
Each year Hirsch prints a limited-edition t-shirt for its annual harvest. In 2021 Jasmine sought a design to honor her father, the Vineyard’s owner. As opposed to hiding the inevitable grape juice stains, Grass recommended using red wine to tie-dye shirts emblazoned with David Hirsch’s visage, a concept we called “embrace the stain.”
